Galaxy Grrrls Defy Gravity

Commissioned by the City of Seattle as part of the 50th Anniversary celebration of Seattle’s Worlds Fair, this twenty-minute video was projected onto the International Fountain at the Seattle Center. The film was broken into three parts and the center piece was set to music written for the World’s Fair and choreographed by Seattle’s own Tonya Lockyer. This work was a collaboration of many people, all credited at the end of this video, but a special call out to the dancers, in order of appearance: Leslie Rosen, who also choreographed the Kaleidoscope number, Rachel Randall, Jordan Perchlik, the talented fashion designer of all the costumes, Chrissy Wai-Ching, Erica Badgeley, Stefanie Karlin, Elise Landles, Lorraine Lau, Kim Lusk and Alia Swersky, the Space Alien. Alia also choreographed her piece.
